It’s with great pleasure that I can announce the shortlist for the 2009 BIMA awards.

The standard this year was exceptionally high which is reflected in a 10% increase in average score and we’re also proud to have attracted entries from approximately 30% more agencies than last year so it was a tough field.

I’d like to offer my congratulations to the shortlisted agencies and thank the many high quality entries that weren’t lucky enough to make it through. I think we can all be very proud of the incredibly high standard of work produced by the UK industry as a whole particularly in such difficult time for business. It’s a cliché, but clearly adversity breeds creativity.

The full shortlist can now be found on the awards website at bimaawards.com/shortlist/.

Thanks for sharing the list, very interesting nominees this time. In category of Mobile Apps and games Google Voice, Vopium and Skype should be there along with Truphone.

    Hi There,

Thanks for your comment, alas the judges are only able to judge what’s entered and also it’s worth pointing out that some of the apps you mention above might be ineligible if they were released outside of the judging period. This, I’m afraid is a limitation for almost all awards.

    Thanks again.

    Hey Chris

I have to say we’re pretty chuffed! BTW – is there any news on the Best Blog award?

We’re honoured to make the shortlist with the Pre-Raphaelite Online Resource alongside some other really fantastic works. Thankyou.
