It is with great pleasure to announce that our Grand Prix winners for DDay 2013 are…
Jessica Akinbodunshe, Morayo Shittu, Lauren Moore, Ella Hollis, Victoria Hinch, Leyla Elsey, Harriet Cramphorn, Ibu Ajanaku, Diana Boodram, Sophie Cohen and Victoria Olusegun for their Social Media entry entitled BLOWOUT.
Everyone at BIMA would like to say a big congratulations to the students at Townley Grammar School for their great work and the staff at WickedWeb for helping them tackle the brief.
Our category winners for Social Media, Coding, Digital Design and Mobile can be seen here. We were truly overwhelmed by the number of fantastic entries we received and it really was difficult to pick the winners so well done to everyone that took part nationwide.
On DDay 2013, we surveyed 1132 students to gain a greater understanding of young people’s knowledge of the digital industry and the results really highlight the importance of DDay in helping bridge the skills gap and encouraging future talent.
The survey highlighted a direct correlation between awareness of the digital industry and a desire to work within it. Prior to D-Day, less than half of those taking part had considered a career in digital, but post D-Day, 87% felt D-Day had made them think more about a career in digital.
Whether you’re a school and you’re interested in taking part, or an agency that wants to help make a difference and inspire future generations of digital talent, you can sign up for DDay 2014 using the link below. We’d be delighted to have you on board.
