So that was it! The Digital Hall of Fame and HOT100 2013 are both over for another year. This was the first year BIMA put on the whole show ourselves so it was quite something but obviously we could not have done it without our fabulous sponsors Exponential, Pulsant, Millennial Media, Ve Interactive, Six Degrees Group and, of course, our media partner The Guardian and production partner Amoveo. They all played a vital role in backing the Digital Hall of Fame 2013.
So many different people from the digital industry attended this week’s event giving their own personal input into the evening. The speeches were witty, intelligent, personal and gracious – from Adam Graham commending Andrew Henning on his achievements to Joanna Shields’ inspiring words of wisdom; “make sure you’re open to ideas and have the opportunities to participate…ideas change the world” everyone put that personal touch to their kind words.
Congratulations again to the five people who were carefully chosen this year to be inducted into the Digital Hall of Fame: Joanna Shields, Justin Cooke, Luke Taylor, Matt Brittin and Nigel Vaz. They have each had such an invaluable and extensive role in the development of the British digital industry.
We also revealed our inaugural HOT100 made up of important figures from the digital industry in the last 18 months. Some of the selected few include Mike Butcher, Trevor Hope, Suzanne Linton, Nick Leonard, Maani Safa and Natalie Gross.
