If you haven’t heard of Facebook then you probably live under a rock in the middle of the desert, and you definitely don’t have WIFI. Chances are, however, that you have heard of it. Moreover you’re likely to have an opinion on this powerful application driving through our cyber waves.

Whether you are an active Facebooker, a frustrated employer watching your employees’ time trickle away, or a brand keen to infiltrate a new market, you are likely to have something to say and something to learn about Facebook, and now’s your chance as BIMA takes the conversation offline in the great Facebook debate.

In this debate we aim to explore and challenge the various ideas currently being touted in blogs and mainstream media, as well as bring you an insight into the plethora of Facebook stories: brands who have worked within the Facebook walls effectively and those who have not.

This event, like Facebook itself, is going to be very popular, very cheap, very entertaining and a fantastic networking opportunity. A panel of experts will kick off proceedings but, largely, we’ll be encouraging interaction and debate. It’s a cheap day you can’t afford to miss so click for your place now.

Confirmed Speakers so far

Venue

To be decided, but we do have a couple of great venues in mind. If you can help locate something suitable in London, please feel free to get in touch.

The venue we have in mind can cope with 240. We’re not sure when to close the doors so please feel free to make suggestions on the wall.

Date/Time

To be decided. Let me know if October 11th is covered by another event, an important football match, or anything else that’ll take away the heat from Facebook.

Sponsors

Please get in touch if you’d like to sponsor this event. We can tailor a package to suit your budget.

Media Partners

New Media Age (NMA)
Intruders.TV
NMK

Blognation
tbites

IntrudersTV will be there to capture interviews with cool folk so make sure you’re seen. We’re still looking for a partner to video the entire event.

Facebook success stories

Get in touch if you have a success story you’d like to promote as a case study for Facebook.

If you have a cool marketing campaign or application that has proven to increase sales or brand awareness, then get in touch. We might get everyone to download, use and rate your application and then present the winner with an award.

Please register your interest on the Facebook group now. Note however, that official registration will be required on the BIMA Web site as soon as the doors open.

Why don’t you join the BIMA community on Facebook where we already have more than 200 members!

Connecting with me on Facebook

I seem to get a spike in the number of Facebook connection requests whenever I write a post or promote an event on it. So, if you’d like to connect with me but we’ve never met, please include a message to explain what the mutual interest is. Alternatively just state that you’re a BIMA member as it’ll help us discuss how you can benefit more from your membership, in person and in a fun environment. Don’t just send a blind request :)
