Terrific night at the BIMA awards last night. Well done to AKQA for Agency of the Year and the the Students from Hull on the table next to ours who were having such a laugh. And farewell, too, to Janice Cable, who has been such a stalwart of BIMA since the beginning. Amusing it was to hear Sapient pronounced Sepperant, and Symantec as Some Attack, and a few other stumbles here and there – the voice of god needs to get glasses, or something, for next time. I’m reminded of the lovely Cilla Black who used to ask “R. Graham” (try it with mild scouse twang) to reprise the Blind Date contestants. I wonder if he was actually called Robin…

It’s an enormous effort to get these awards off the ground, and everyone into the tent on the night, so congrats to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. Roll on next year.
