This was BIMA’s first year at Cannes and we dipped our toes in the water in rather spectacular fashion, holding ThirstDay networking drinks on the Exponential yacht in Cannes harbour.
Attendees were weighted towards CEOs and senior colleagues of major agencies (including SapientNitro, Poke, POSSIBLE, TMW, Weapon7 and M&C Saatchi), as well as journalists and “interesting randoms”. In the latter category, we were delighted at one point to have the managers of the BIMA Awards, Webbys and DADIs all chatting away and comparing notes.
This, for us, exemplifies the benefits of ThirstDays – bringing people together from across the industry in a relaxed, friendly environment where useful conversations and connections happen naturally.
