Greene King, the UK’s leading pub retailer and brewer, has appointed Zone for a digital strategy and build brief, following a four-way competitive pitch.

The agency has been tasked with helping Greene King review the company’s digital assets and overhauling the corporate website.

The agency has been briefed to update the site’s design, improve navigation and enhance its mobile responsiveness as well as create a more joined-up user experience. The brief also asks for a content management system refresh to support user journeys for the multiple audiences.

Greg Sage, Communications Director at Greene King, said: “We want to develop a seamless, enhanced online experience which meets the needs of our customers, people interested in working with us, our investors, suppliers and the media. Zone’s experience acting as a strategic partner to other large, consumer-facing companies means they are the ideal agency to help us achieve our goal.”

Jon Davie, UK CEO of Zone, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Greene King to help celebrate real pubs, real people and real communities. Digital is key for helping Greene King realise its corporate ambitions and we’re looking forward to partnering the brand on its journey.”
